Committee Room 2

Committee Room 2 is not a room in Parliament I am very often in.

The Scottish Parliament got a lot of stick when it was built for its design and its cost. But when you sit in a room like this, with the sun streaming through the windows, it does encourage you to think of loftier subjects.

Looking out over Arthur's Seat, Dynamic Earth and the Palace of Holyrood House, you can see all that has gone before, and be a part of what has yet to come.

Today's topic of conversation was performance frameworks - finding a way to measure our success (or failures) as a nation on a scale that isn't purely about economic growth.
