On Frank’s Peak
The day started watching Landon at soccer school as we have done on the two previous weekends. He’s head and shoulders above all the others, both in height and soccer skills.
As on the other weekends we went for brunch, this time at Richard Walker’s Pancake House at Bressi Ranch. Omelette and pancakes is an interesting combination although I could have had hash browns or toast instead.
Landon went home with his mum; we went for a hike from Chris’s place to Franks Peak (512m) and Double Peak (496m) covering over 8 miles with spectacular views over San Marcos. Hot at times, cool breeze at times, dusty and rocky. Todays blip is from Frank’s Peak looking towards Double Peak.
Chris watched some soccer when we got back; we went for a refreshing swim.
This evening, while Susan stayed in we went on much delayed and long awaited craft brewery tour using Uber and Shank’s Pony to move between bars ending up as a sports bar in San Marcos for something to soak up the alcohol. The walk up the hill to Chris’s place also helped. The extra is of the beer menu at Pure Brewery, our first port of call.
