2022 Friday — Celebrating

Mother’s Day . . . is any day . . . and we made it today, Friday, May 6, 2022! Hallmark, See’s, and FTD put a date on it. Our adult daughter thought today would be a good day to celebrate Mother’s Day; it was.

The Mission Inn in Riverside, California, USA, is a celebration place for us. Today the celebration was leisurely and lovely. When we arrived the courtyard had few patrons, so we watched as one table after another filled with mini-celebrations.

The sun rays lit the patio between umbrellas and the gentle breeze tickled green leaves and ruffled every shrub near us. Every where we looked flowering plants were bursting with color. The food was delicious. Mostly time with each other was all we desired.

Afterward we walked thru the Inn’s gardens and across the mall to Simple Simon’s Bakery to purchase “Christmas” cookies that are available all year long. This was a day wrapped in gossamer and lace.
