Normandie
14yo & I popped down the hill to see the latest Hockney exhibition at Salt’s Mill. His biggest ever painting, A Year in Normandie, depicts the changing seasons in his French garden. See extras for the other half.
The painting is displayed in the roof space, which isn’t usually open but sometimes holds events, e.g. 14yo performed here in an inter-school Shakespeare event not so long ago. Even on a relatively busy Sunday there was plenty of space and time to view it, and of course there are lots more Hockneys and other things to view in the Mill while you’re visiting. Recommended.
