Nicky and her Nikon

Fine and dandy

Last night we had an excellent camera club judge - excellent because her critique was very helpful and constructive, especially of the beginner class entries where she advised how they could improve their images. It was a good end to the print competitions for the year. I scored well and ended up coming first in my class for this competition and second in my class for the year, beaten by 0.5 points!

Driving home from camera club last night, I am always aware to drive slowly as particularly in the warmer months there can be deer in the road. Just as I was thinking that I came across two cars pulled up on the side of the road with a huge (presumably dead) deer lying next to them. So sad for these creatures to have to deal with cars on the roads.

I love this time of year with all the wild flowers around, and dandelion seed heads are included in that for me. I took this photo while on my walk with Xena this morning.

This afternoon I met a friend for coffee and a chat, it was lovely to catch up again. Gavin has just returned from his two days away and so I had better start thinking about dinner.
