Knit one..
I had a meeting in Oxford this afternoon, and arranged to meet M afterwards. We had a big bag of books which L had decided to dispose of, mostly from her undergraduate course. We knew that Blackwells bookshop sold second hand books, and took them in to be considered. What we didn't know was that you need an appointment. The kind considerer of second hand books did at least agree to have a look through and tell us which were the complete rejects (less than half) so I've made an appointment to go back.
Although it was a bit annoying to have lugged the books there, who could be miserable for long when the sky is this colour and you're in Oxford? We had a good mosey round Blackwells, including the rare books section, bought the book group book (Wave, Ithaca's choice and recommended by another blipper, aparently). The lady who found it for me was extremely annoyed it had been placed in fiction when it is a memoir!
We had time to read the notices - you can do an Inklings walk, a "strange creatures of Oxford" walk (think I'm signing up for that one!) or listen to a talk on "strange things people say in bookshops!
Outside, someone had yarnbombed this post by the Sheldonian. I wonder what those heads thought about it? This is guerilla knitting on a manageable scale, I think.
I am glad to have found something to post - I have had blipper's block because I know that I'm close to 365 and should do something spectacular, as so many clever people have - but what?
