New Growth

Back at the ball field, where our friends returned home last night, the big Rhododendron is making lots of new growth after the flowers faded and it caught my eye as we chatted to Wendy at the gate to the house.  By this time the dogs had had a good run and we migrated onto the terrace for tea and cake - at a safe distance in my case as although still negative, I'm still feeling rough.  Another sinus infection :-(  

It was nice to sit in the sun and share news.   Then we wandered up into the garden where Bella had already tried to walk on water at the pond!   One soggy puppy but otherwise unharmed.  See extra pic - a selfie of sorts with added tadpoles!   The eventful theme continued as while we were at the pond, Meg returned to the terrace ..... and the cake!   She considers unsupervised food at eye level to be fair game but was fortunately caught before ingesting very much.  Fruit cake - not usually good for doggies.

The rest of the day was quiet - still feeling rough.   Too out of sorts to engage in much, even the garden on a sunny day.  It will pass.
