Volunteering

I answered a call for volunteers at a local plant fair a few weeks ago. It was not exactly as I thought, but nonetheless I went and helped for a couple of hours today.
It was well organised. Lots of stalls with bedding plants. A cake stall, raffle, cream teas and ploughman’s lunch. See extra.
All the neighbours had brought round their wheelbarrows to enable purchasers to transport back to their cars. A good idea I thought.
I was on the trailing plant stall. It was in aid of raising money for their church, so all in a good cause. Despite the blip it was very busy and they were very pleased to have sold so much.
