City of Colour

We met a friend in the central city tonight and enjoyed a drink at MyBar followed by a light meal at Mezze.  It was lovely to catch up, find out what she’d been doing since we last saw her, what interesting things were coming up and just generally chatting about life and setting the world to rights.

On our way to the meeting place, we sought out some of the art installations that are dotted around the city for the City of Colour event that’s taking place during May. We even bumped into other friends doing the same thing. It’s designed to bring people back into the city and it was certainly doing that tonight. The blip shows what we found.

There are 7,068 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 7,595, compared to 7,512 last Saturday. The number of people in hospital is 398, including 8 in ICU. Another 18 deaths have been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 958 and the seven-day rolling average to 15.
