Glorious morning…

at the lochan, hot and sunny so I hoped the Green Hairstreaks would be emerging. Sure enough, found several of the tiny creatures at the breeding site. This one is an strip about 10x3 m in Cowberry and they are about the size of a fingernail! Didn’t notice they were mating till I saw them on the iPad.
Also saw Cuckoo, Kite, Curlews, Lapwings, Wheatears, Oystercatchers, Willow Warblers, Stonechats and Pipits. A good day!
