Wet North Weald Weather

Having heard about the Platinum Jubilee Flypast we went to North Weald hoping to meet plane spotters who might tell us of good places from which to see and photograph it. I have captured images in the past from Stapleford Flight Centre. The only other suggestion I got was a man's garden in Leytonstone where there isn't parking.

Last time I visited The Squadron cafe a couple of years ago it was about to close and become for members only. How lovely that the beautifully refurbished Nissen hut reopened to the public recently and dogs are welcome. I met some interesting people and felt very sorry for a man who has been waiting for his flight in a Spitfire since March 2020, his trip was cancelled because of the bad weather.

The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance is based at the airfield.
