Winnie the Pooh...

... has gone into merchandising. Here he is, showing off his latest range in Tigger.

As I was thinking about what to write I wondered if Winnie was female, as the name suggests, or male. There's nothing in the photo to provide any clues. As it turns out, he's male as are the other characters except Kanga whom I have seen depicted with pouch and joey.

This article doesn't fully match the Wikipedia entry on A A Milne, but it's a really good story.
