Timeless
I always like walking along canals. There is a timeless quality which could mean you were walking along a section in any decade. Even when you come across structures and boats there are still limited clues to the year.
This is the start of the Lichfield and Hatherton canals section at Calf Heath. The section is abandoned and overbuilt in many areas including by the M6 Toll (though as you pass along it you will see an aqueduct bridge near Brownhills with no connections at either end that was required as part of the decision of the route's public inquiry).
