Confetti

The apple tree in the garden is now shedding its petals and covering the area underneath.  I just managed to catch some rays of sunshine in amongst the rain, while working in the study.  During the afternoon I was in continuous video meetings for 3 and a half hours, mainly discussing proposals for music events.

I don't know if other people have had the same feeling but the optimism last Monday seems to have dissipated very quickly as the new variant takes hold in parts of the country.  It is quite shocking to see infection levels nearing a 1,000 per 100K population in some parts of Bolton.  To echo the advice at the beginning of Hill Street Blues "Let's be careful out there."
