Afternoon at the beach

Miss PHL arrived back in Edinburgh from her trip to Knoydart in one piece having enjoyed herself so much that she’s volunteered to go on the same trip next year! She ended up driving a hire car home yesterday and had to deliver it to the school this morning before having the day off. We picked her up from school and brought her home to visit with Phin.

As it wasn’t a bad day weatherwise we headed to Portobello to let Phin have a run around on the beach. We ended up having lunch at The Espy, totally delicious and very bad for us but it was just what we needed! Very dog friendly with liver cake for sale for Phin.

After walking to the end of the room on the sand where Phin enjoyed splashing in and out of the incoming waves, we headed back along the prom and of course had to have a gelato before we got back to the car.

Home to catch up on some reading before a long hot soak in the tub and eggs on toast for dinner.

Loved the wee tardis on the posts leading into the sea and the sign on a board in the pub.
