a moment...
Last day of Sienna being a five year old...so what else could I do but sit and watch this morning as she sat in the sunlight dressing her baby doll. Looking so sweet and full of concentration even if after yesterday's fall, her face is quite the mess. It is amazing how at this age they don't care or place any importance over it - they just get on with living and enjoying and questioning and being in the moment. She has not even mentioned it!
Her energy continues to astonish us, I am sure maybe no more than the children who preceded her but to us as now slightly 'older' parents it is an incredible sense of life force that at times takes the wind from us yet more often that not lifts us up and carries us along with it.
So we are expecting an early start to the morning, she is beyond excited. She has asked for a violin, an instrument that she has wanted to play for at least two years and stops her in her tracks if she ever hears one and an alarm clock of all things! I think she will be happy!
