At last a Munro I can pronounce and remember the name of! Ascended by an unconventional route from Glen Muick. The route incorporated scaling the 6 foot deer fence gates, a navigational challenge across the peaty wilderness and a final stiff summit bid on a welcome small path. Sunny and very, very windy so Walt stayed in his bivi bag. I’d a lovely view of a mountain hare, half white half brown (fuzzy top left pic). Lots of black grouse, a few deer and the white flower is a cloudberry. I saw no one all day apart from two guys leaving the summit by a traditional route as I arrived. Fab day.
