Empire

It looks as though we, at Old Government House, will be adding to our little Empire.

We have been offered the custodianship of the Commissioners' Shack, just down the hill from OGH.  The shack is right alongside the well which was used in the mid-1800's to provide water for the Vice-Regal residence.

It's tiny - and was used by the Commissioners of the Belair National Park right up until the 1950's as overnight accommodation.

There is so much history in the Belair NP, and I rather think we will take it on, especially as there is a strong connection to OGH.

It was so beautiful in the Park this morning - emus and kangaroos everywhere. (Emus in extras)
