An Asian Perspective

As we sat chatting in the lounge, the gentle old Chinese guy suddenly said "The guy on the left looks like a farmer to me. Not like the other one - he's more of a warrior".

I hadn't really paid much attention to my old Japanese prints, other than to add them to Cambodian posters to give our room a vaguely Asian feel.

But it certainly got us all thinking. I had assumed they were both noblemen - the rich silky robes and ornamented hair seem far removed from the rice fields. Others thought them angry - or maybe just deep in thought. Inscrutable eh?
