I’m not looking!
The deed was done before 9am. Daughter #2 rolled up on her bike with the necessary tools and removed my stitches. It feels strange to allow one of your erstwhile babies to be competent enough to minister to things like this but it was all professionally done and I hardly felt a thing.
I had a lovely morning with HL’s cancer nurse practitioner who came bearing bacon rolls and lemon curd muffins for an early brunch and chat. She is a breath of fresh air and it was good to hear that she has a wonderful new position in the offing.
It was my 2nd radiotherapy session this afternoon and there was the usual traffic chaos from the Dower House to the Western General which is unfortunately reflected in the price of the taxi. However the efficiency of the hospital staff when I finally got there was as usual amazing. I have been so lucky in seeing only the very best that the NHS offers in the past few months.
