An Tiffany Bug on a strawberry flower
I have been seeing these pink flowered strawberries around Albuquerque for about a year now. I thought strawberry flowers were inevitably white. I have no idea whether they are purely decorative. So far no strawberries and my white flowered ones are covered, but they do seem to attract a better class of bugs, including this one that looks like glass iridized by the process Tiffany used to to use (stannic chloride fumed on to the glass). This is quite an attractive bug.
Today is my 300th blip. I have rarely managed to stick with anything for 300 straight days in my life, except for parenthood and work and I had little choice in either of those. I decided against a celebratory photo because this last 100 has been such a struggle. I used to be totally thrilled with most of my photos, but I rarely get those little jolt/thrills I used to when I see one of my photos. Either I am a lot worse or or not much different and far more self critical.
In either case, having a constant discipline to get things done has made my life and my art (mostly my pottery) better.
Today, I give thanks for the day I was given, my children and my granddaughter and their significant others, strawberries, fruit juice and blipfoto.
