Election Day

…here in Australia. Last night we found our booth captain has Covid so we got the job of setting up and both manning the stand and packing up tonight. The day started sunny and warm but a cold wind got up and I nearly froze. 

We are in a very safe conservative seat but our new independent candidate has done a grand job. Doubt she will get there but we have moved a mountain and don’t think we will be ignored as a safe seat anymore. The Conservative (Liberal National Coalition) party has little chance of retaining government. There are some new independents which are in favour of doing something about climate change and integrity. It remains to be seen if the Labour can reach enough seats for a majority. We are feeling happy at the moment.
