One of the flowers growing in profusion beside the river Esk and some damp places now is Fringe Cups (Tellima grandiflora). The tiny cup shaped flowers have five ragged fringed little petals which are curved backwards and greenish white and as they age they turn pink and sometimes red at the base of the long stem. It is fairly similar to Heuchera which is a garden plant.
