Archaeoligical bimble

After a grim start with wind and rain, including when I walked the dog, it then started getting better.
The professor who wrote the book on Hebirdean Archaeology has been visiting the last few days and today he kindly wlaked over two of the important sites he excavated almost thirty yeasrs ago. It was fascinating to hear what was under the ground where we were standing.
The way home involved passing the pub so passing wasn't what we did.
In the evening, a friend from university days and his partner came to spend the night. They are birders and are spending three weeks touring the Outer Hebrides in their brand new camper van. It was good to catch up.
