WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

After the Rain

It was dry this morning but this afternoon the heavens opened.
We did get a nice rainbow out of it though and a double one at that. (extra)
Frank cleaned the outside of the boat this morning while I did bits of the inside. After lunch we both had a nap then had a visit from Eddie - much to Bella’s delight. For those that don’t know, Eddie is the guy who painted the name (Fiddlesticks) and motif on our boat, a very talented man and Bella loves him.
We have a pair of Bluetits nesting in a box at the mooring. I’ll try and get a photo over next couple of days.

I was reading about Boris, the Sue Gray report and their ‘secret’ meeting.
He’s trying to wiggle his way out it as usual.

LIES

Some people can tell lies
without a flicker of an eyelid
without a stutter or hesitation,
untruths just roll off the tongue
and they think it’s their salvation
a way to get out of a tight spot
put the blame on someone else
then try to distract us with a joke
another lie, but when questioned
they deny they ever spoke
they get others to cover for them
with promotion or maybe a peerage
it’s the way they were bought up
no morals - look after number one
just keep filling that overflowing cup

That’s it for today - goodnight :-)X
