An Expressive Currawong

This one isn't another for BlipBigYear, (RosInAus has one there though), this is one for my own satisfaction.

Every few days I have a visit from a Pied Currawong or two, and try as I might, have not been very successful in taking a decent photo of one. My usual problem with these birds is that the background is clear and the subject blurs! The camera doesn't seem to like their colour.

Another thing I've noticed about Currawongs is that they are not as expressive as my other garden visitors and they are extremely timid as well.

So with this photo today I feel I have achieved two things ~

1 - I've taken a decent photo of the bird, all glossy and black, with a blurred background (now that's what I'm aiming for!) and
2 - This Currawong is actually looking quite expressive.

I feel as though I've achieved something photographically today.

Yesterday, I forgot to mention that I have updated my bio, if anyone is interested. I've left the original there, as that is a record of what I said the day I joined blip, and had absolutely no idea at all what I was doing. :))
