I just knew it!

When I spotted both adult swans and the female with her wings spread I knew that there had to be some cygnets.
You can’t get too close but eventually my patience was rewarded and mum stood up.
Just four cygnets this year (last year there were five).
On my last visit on May 18th the mum was still on the nest so her youngsters are less than a week old.
