The latest arrivals

I have been keeping my eye on the female swan lying on her nest on the island. Last Wednesday she was still on the island but today I spotted the family on the slipway beside the Water Sports Centre. 

8 cute, fluffy cygnets being watched over by mum and dad. I hope that there were eight eggs and not any more. 

When I spotted the cygnets in Rouken Glen on Saturday the female swan was happy to keep her babies close under her wings. Th EK mum was happy to give her youngsters plenty of space.
