Heron

Today's the day ....................... to keep still

A beautiful evening for a walk along the banks of the River Tarff at Tongland.

This heron was motionless down at the water's edge, patiently waiting for something to appear.  And he was still there, in exactly the same position ten minutes later, when I was on my way back home.

The sort of wildlife that is a photographer's dream ....................!
