Working Hard
The weekend heat broke and today was gorgeous, topping out in the mid-70's. I spent much of the day outside (with Jax) on the deck and patio, starting with a FT call with my parents. After that we took a short walk although Jax was more interested in laying in the grass watching things (and eating an occasional mouthful of grass). I got zero done inside the house but managed to fritter away most of the afternoon pulling an occasional weed and watching the comings and goings of the bluebirds.
Both Mama and Papa have been very busy feeding the babies. Mama seen here with a tiny fly of some sort. Papa has also been feeding Mama some bigger larva - he's a keeper.
I had a nice phone chat with Osuzanna this afternoon - in less than two weeks we will be together in Texas, along with Wendy, at a photography ranch. Can't wait! We compared notes on gear - three lenses, two bodies, tripod. Who cares about clothes?
Jax is doing well and his eye already looks better. The drops are a bit challenging, but we are (so far) managing. And, miracle of miracles, I managed to get two mails trimmed today!
Chipmunks are running rampant on the patio which drives Jax crazy since he is confined to the deck where he can see them but can't get to them. He runs from one end of the deck to the other trying to figure out how to get one. Then he gets frustrated and starts growling at them - which is so funny.
Dark today, just plain and simple.
