More Fun and Frolic

We were up before 7:00 am again. Hubby had tons of errands to run around the county. I did a bit of house cleaning, laundry and weeding. I finally scheduled my annual hair cut for noon today. I like my hair short in summer but long in winter; only one cut needed annually. My SIL’s birthday is tomorrow. I dropped off his gift and some treats for Mancil and Brookie. We had a few hours at home before our next adventure. Sure need to work on my “trilocation” skills. We had three family members with birthdays today. My sister is still in WV; her birthday dinner will be later in the month. My oldest granddaughter had her own birthday plans so we celebrated with Mack today at her favorite Mexican restaurant. We found out yesterday that Skylar was performing in a school musical concert this evening; we added that to the schedule before dinner. Her group did surprisingly well with their choreography; they’d only practiced for one week. We munched on Coldstone cookie ice cream sandwiches while Mack opened gifts. We checked out Kristen’s garden. She has baby squash already. So pleased that she enjoys gardening. I’d say we had a very pleasant day with a few bumps. Kim tested positive for COVID after school. She could have gotten it from Mancil or from one of her students who have it. Just wondering how long before hubby and/or I get it. Plus, our truck repair is going to be very expensive. The technician also found a mouse nest in the air filter. Guess it was warmer in there than out in the weather. Too late for war news when we got home. Thanks for visiting. Stay alert folks. That virus is everywhere again. “Grandchildren are loving reminders of what we’re really here for.” — Janet Lanese
