WITBLITS STOOK

A literal translation of the title would be " stoking white lightning". This is the evening when our local museum exercises their right to make the potent colourless liquid that knocks the breathe out of you with just one sip. Supper will be cooked over open fires and we will gather to listen to and tell stories. I took this shot of Judy Maguire sealing the kettle with flour dough. I know that it is traditional to insert a lemon leaf into the pipe that dispenses the witblits. It acts as a funnel.
Ithought it would be wise to submit my journal entry BEFORE the event rather than AFTER.
