Busy bees

The phacelia is alive with the sound and sight of bees at work.  Will be difficult to remove it to make way for crops.  The other patch we grew pulled up very easily when I wanted to plant out broad beans.  Can't say that I've noticed a reduction in soil compaction, but that is not evidence.  Definitely something we will do again this year.
