The Horses

We set off for another Saturday In The City, ready for a nice lunch somewhere and a play around at the Apple store.

As we approached the city a whole lot of detour ahead signs started to appear. Big cranes were up ahead and traffic was slowing down.

Had to make a quick decision to take the left turn or the right turn, took the right and it turned out to be the wrong one.

The traffic slowed to a crawl and temperatures were rising. Eventually we saw a parking lot ahead with empty spaces and made our way into it after abandoning all hope of getting to the more convenient one we were actually heading for.

A ticket from the parking ticket machine needed to be purchased and displayed for the time I was wanting to park. I didn't have enough change, it wouldn't take notes and it refused my credit card. Aaarrghhh!!!

With the threat of wheel clamping proudly displayed all around we rushed off on foot to try and get some more change.

Came back jingling and started to pump all the change in and it wouldn't register the right amount. Had to cancel the transaction and get the money back and decide to cut my losses and get back into the car and back into the traffic. Aaarrghhh!!!

Sat in the car and gazed around fuming.... And finally noticed these wonderful horses graffitied onto the high wall in front of us!

Just goes to show how blinkered I become when I'm angry!

Needless to say we eventually reached the desired car park, and finally free of the car we had ourselves a wonderful day!!! ;)
