River of Flowers

Wednesday: Crwydro / Wandering

Had a list of places to go and things to buy:
Stermat Garden Centre on the mainland: a few small terracotta pots, a few flower plants for the bees and Summer Green Manure mix which has red clovers. Bumped into my brother and my sister-in-law and we had a lovely chat but had to make my excuses at midday as I was hoping to …
Meet up with the Tuesday Gang (now meeting on Wednesday) but they weren’t in “the usual place” BUT there were crowds of other people there …
Drove to LlanfairPG and popped into Pringles, very busy with coaches and tourists … didn’t see what I wanted either :-((
Next the Co-op for fruit/veggies/groceries and I bought a sandwich because by now I was hungry! As I was going back to the car I saw my old pal from our Highways Department days - I’d done some family history which overlapped with his family, he was rather impressed and took the notes with him for a closer look … :-))
Ate half of my sandwich before I drove home, finished the sandwich in the garden with a nice cup of tea … and some really delicious English strawberries, also from the Co-op.
MrD had been on deliveries all day, brought Anglesey new potatoes home which were delicious with a salad of English grown leaves (watercress, rocket & baby spinach) English grown cucumber - really fresh taste also a few other things from the store cupboard!
Planted up a few large pots with this morning’s purchases - future Blips probably!
Today’s blip is wild elderflower blossom, lots of it.
Chesea Flower Show continues on BBC this evening ... if I can stay awake … all the fresh air and excitement!!
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
