Thursday: Flowers and “Food Miles”
Weigela “Florida variegata” has been flowering for weeks on end, it was full of bees (between showers) this morning.
Quick gardening job this morning was to be cutting back old Globe Artichoke stems BUT that part of the front garden is so overgrown that I did PHASE 1, which was to cut back the yellow rose

and all the ivy and honeysuckle which was growing through it. Heavy rain arrived and the bin is full so will continue when bin emptied and weather dry :-)
Whilst I was eating lunch I was reflecting on the salad ingredients and strawberries bought yesterday at the Co-op, all except one pepper grown in England, in perfect condition and tasted like they’re meant too, well done the Co-op!!
Looking forward to watching “Rownd a Rownd” and Sewing Bee tonight.
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
