Mussel Beach
After his ritual and recurring punishment at the hairdressers barbers, Euan was 'dragged' - his word, not mine - for a walk around the local dam.
We managed most of it on the temporary beaches that have appeared due to the water level being dropped for some major repair work being carried at the dam head. This has exposed a huge harvest of freshwater mussels that seems to appeal to the birds around the place but for us, having had a peek inside them (looks like the aftermath of an extremely violent and productive sneeze), we were happy to stick to our packed lunch for some sustenance.
Detoured up the hill on the road back at which point grumpy chops here sprinted off in front in apparent protest at all my stopping and buggering about with the camera. Was a lonely last mile back.
