Autumn leaves?

Liked the look of this Copper Beech (?) in the park. This was taken on the way back from my godson's loud, busy, fun party today. Turns out 24 5 year olds in one room can create quite a noise! Some really fun games - I was especially fond of the team mummy creating contest (use two rolls of toilet roll to turn a member of your team into a mummy) and will certainly be stealing that idea for the next kids' party I organise!

So, it was loads of fun but totally exhausting for everyone - so we all had a nice quiet afternoon eating cake and learning how to play all the games the birthday boy had been given as presents. Junior Monopoly was quite a hit - and is now definitely my preferred version of the game: being shorter and with smaller numbers involved! You'll be glad to hear that children aren't made to Go To Jail, directly or otherwise, but rather get to go to the cafe.

A Thai take-out and early night rounded off the evening nicely. And I won a 'discussion' with Mr B (reform of the planning system - nothing juicy) - but an unusual enough event to merit mention!
