Nearly No Mow May

I just had to do the lawns this morning before our visitor arrived, the grass was a foot high in places. I left various wild flowers which were growing around walls, and also this solitary buttercup which was the only flower I could see in the main body of the lawn. It took me ages and the green bin is now full to bursting.

Mrsfb and her friend have walked down to the Old Prison Cafe for some lunch leaving me home alone. I've got to stay in as I booked a plumber to come to fix the kitchen tap. I only booked the appointment yesterday so I am not convinced he (or she) will show up.

Update: I take it all back, the plumber came and despite his initial reservations he fixed the tap.
