Camassia

Today's the day ....................... to compare

This is for my good blipping friend Louise, because yesterday she blipped something that looked very much like these camassias that are in full flower just now in our garden.

She knows hers by the name - St Bernard's Lily - and I was wondering if they were connected in any way to my camassias.  You can find the story of how I got them here if you're interested.  At any rate, they both seem to belong to the asparagus family but they have quite different botanical names.

Perhaps some of you knowledgeable botanists out there can shed a bit of light on the subject ....................?!
