Today we caught the train to Kew for Natalies book signing at Kew Bookstore. Some 2 years ago Natalie was given 3 months to raise 1 million to buy her stables or get kicked out. She went public with the appeal and the Good morning briton  got hold of the story and by the end of the day over 1 million had been raised. the charity then went to buy the stables off the landlord who had a better offer from a developer. The stables cannot be developed as they are of historic importance and Tedding ton had slapped some kind of order on them. so the landlord upped the price BUT the solicitors were not beaten yet and did much negotiating behind the scenes. As a charity the stables could not offer more than the property was worth. Eventually Natalie got the stables back. She was nominated for various awards both nationally and locally and got them. the book Heroes and horses tell the story. I bought 2 copies one for me and one for my daughter. Natalie remembers my grand daughter with fondness as they were taught to ride by her in her early days at  the stable.
