Another Day, Another Village Church

I found it a bit of a struggle on the Park Run this morning but we all got round.

This afternoon Chris & Kate were going to the wedding celebration of an old school friend at his house in the little village of Pitney near Langport so I said I’d take and collect them (and Sophie, who’s also invited) so they don’t have to worry about drinking and driving.

It’s another of Somerset’s hidden villages, tucked away off the beaten track, so much so that in the 43 years we’ve lived here I’ve never been there before.

It turns out to be a very pretty, quiet village with a mix of beautiful houses old and new. This is the view up to the village church from what passes as the main road, taken on an exploratory stroll.

Not sure how long it would take to get from Pitney to Tulsa?
