It's started.

I want my brick path to be as environmentally friendly as possible so all the bricks are either reclaimed or surplus, the sand is coming from the closest builders merchant and it will be laid with Lime mortar. This morning I collected the mortar, we are fortunate to have a local and very friendly supplier!

This afternoon I started digging out the trench and, at the same time, began leveling part of the lawn and creating a low bank around the wild flower area.

All in all a very pleasing day, now I'm about to light a fire in the fire bowl and eat pizza!!
