Long Day Out
An early start for Birmingham but I left Wales later than planned as on arriving at Machynlleth I found the 7am train was cancelled. So Meg had a nice walk and I explored a little bit of the town that I'd not seen before. Ruth's new support worker seems nice - young and gentle. She helped Ruth in the garden while I did the chores. I also taught her how to make Yorkshire puddings while Ruth had a little down time.
Meg was mostly good as gold on the trains but as usual with loud, moving mechanical things, she barked maniacally when the they arrived or departed. Conversely, as soon as they are stationary, the lunging and barking stops and she will calmly walk in through the doors looking around interestedly! Once in the train she's unbothered by the motion and sleeps under the seats mostly.
An uneventful journey back apart from having to run to get to Bournville station in time. Still a golden glow in the sky after 10pm as we crossed the border back into Wales.
