Double ghost sign
Texaco products including motor oil and motor spirit, as per the sign, were first sold in Australia in 1900. Motor spirit is just petrol or gasoline. Texaco became part of the Caltex group in 1936 and the Caltex brand name was used in Australia from 1941. The logos for both Texaco and Caltex are similar featuring a large star and red colour. Items with the Texaco logo are collectible.
What's interesting about this ghost sign, which from the information above is very old, is that it's on top of another one which is green. I can only make out the word 'Greek' under the Texaco but there's more.
The extra is another photo from yesterday's à cappella event which I processed today as it all got too late last night. My great niece is the fair one in the centre.
Thanks for hosting Marlieske. Have a good start to the week.
