The Old Grammar School building

A Grade II listed building in Sedbergh with the date on the door; 1716.   The school dates back to 1523 according to the school website and they think this was the site of the original school. The website also says that numbers dropped to just 9 by 1870 , easily housed in this building but its expanded a lot since then and this is now the library.
I'd popped over to Sedbergh to visit friend A who is quite under the weather at the moment and treated myself to many items , mostly edible, at the Saturday market
