Chaplin Takes a Break
Akasha and I went away for the weekend and today we were in Durham. What a beautiful, if a tad hilly, city. We got some lovely photographs of street performers on the bridge. There didn't appear to be much enthusiasm from them though. Many rest took place between performances. The bagpiper stopped for a fag and asked Charlie Chaplin for a light. I did get a shot of this, but preferred this shot for a blip.
We partook of a glass of Old Rosie in a lovely pub that did lots of real ales and I can't remember the name for the life of me. John something or other. Lovely pub and nice barman. He recommended Ye Olde Elm Tree for lunch so we wandered over to that and once again we were greeted with lovely, friendly bar staff. Sister couldn't finish off her Super Elm Tree Burger, it was the size of a small, yet tasty, cow!
Tomorrow we are off to Seahouses and Holy Island so we're looking forward taking lots of pictures again!
