Party Girl
Mimi was out of her hockey kit today and off to party with some friends, after a week of mostly mono, the sun seemed to offer an opportunity for a bright Blip.
Not for me the sun, I have been cooped all day trying to write an essay, despite having undertaken copious amounts of reading and research I have done I spent the first three hours in a blind panic this morning writing and rewriting the same section and achieved exactly diddly squat!!!!
A break, a walk to the post office to collect a parcel (my new shooting boots), to try and calm the nerves but to no avail back to the kitchen table which resembled a paper mountain essay notes surrounding my chair it looked like a bomb site door shut, music on to drown out the ambient noise (the twins).
The party girl peeped timidly round the door to grumpy dad and I was stunned to see my baby girl looking so grown up... off she went to enjoy an afternoon with her friends, the other half of the dynamic duo was a little lost, he and I went out and played some street hockey, enjoying the distraction and some me time with the boy I had to don hockey gloves as he decided dad's hands were fair game, dad was 8 - 5 up wen I had to return to the books, he proclaimed next score wins and before I could answer he slammed the puck past me and danced to proclaim a victory so sweet to behold.
I am now somewhat further on but I need to return to the books, I will be burning the midnight oil I venture, me, tea and...
