Variety in vegetation

When I was looking for something for the theme of "landscape" for Abstract Thursday, I noticed this variety along the side of the road. I knew I'd go back to take a photo of it. And I did.
A busy day - made Sunday soup (asparagus, leek and potato, looking forward to eating it!), a quick walk for a blip photo, washed the kitchen and bathroom floors, and enjoyed working in the garden for a couple of hours. G was golfing.
Still chilly at night, so I'm off to cover the seedlings. So far the latest ones planted are surviving and some seeds are sprouting. I'm hopeful!
