Brain overload
You see this tired boy? Yes! This is waaaay past bedtime!
After a nice long sleep we had a very busy day. Lots of fun and playing with the girls, his first ever smoothie (banana and blueberry!) some yummy food, a fab walk along the river planting seeds, chatting, feeding the ducks, playing pooh sticks and investigating secret gardens. This resulted in a tired boy so a very quick rinse in the bath and a great bedtime.... until about 30 mins later a meltdown occured! Not even boob would help (aaargh!) and so this little stinker came downstairs for cuddles with Auntie H again. She had some very fun studs on her jeans and a comfy hip, so he stayed in this position for most of the evening. We eventually went to bed and had some of my favourite cutey cuddles.
He was in the (single) bed with me, face down with his head turned to face me. His hands holding onto me and feet tucked up into my tummy. I never want to forget things like this, the feel of his little breath on my chest, his uber soft hair against my cheek, and the occasional sigh. One other thing he does which I can't help but smile at is when he lifts his head, has a look around and then goes back to sleep. Just checking eh baby?
You know that old saying "I love him so much it hurts"? It's so true. I ache with love for him
